Congratulations to Brianna Daigneault who has successfully defended her thesis entitled, "De homine et portentis: Humanising the Monster in the Early Medieval British Isles". Thank you to Brianna's supervisor, James Ginther, and committee members, Cillian O'Hogan, Brent Miles, and Stephen Pelle, and to appraisers Alexandra Bolintineanu and Patrizia Lendinara (Univ. of Palermo).
Brianna studied Early Irish monasticism, Latin and Celtic language and linguistics, insular literature, and animal symbolism during her time at the Centre, where she also completed her Master of Arts. In addition to Research Assistantships, teaching, and presenting her research at numerous conferences and colloquia, she also found the time to contribute to publications, and organize enriching student activities at CMS.
Congratulations, Dr. Daigneault!
