The fees below are applicable to ALL students (including currently registered U of T graduate and undergraduate students) for Beginning Latin. Level I Latin and Level II Latin courses are free for students currently registered full-time in the School of Graduate Studies at U of T and for those recently admitted to CMS. The fees below apply to all other Level I Latin and Level II Latin registrants.
Course fees are $1200.00 (CAD) for Canadian residents or its equivalent in US dollars for non-Canadian residents.
Exam fees are $50.00 (CAD) for Canadian residents or its equivalent in US dollars for non-Canadian residents.

Fees Refund Policy
In case of withdrawal, return of the original receipt is required to process a refund. Until the start of classes, a full refund is available, minus $50 for administrative services. Within the first week of classes, 50 percent of fees will be refunded. After the first week of classes has ended, no refund is possible.
Financial Support Opportunity
A limited number of external stipends from the Medieval Academy of America are available for graduate students participating in summer courses in medieval languages or manuscript studies, and Level One and Level Two Latin at the Centre for Medieval Studies. The stipend will be paid directly to the program to offset a portion of the tuition cost and is contingent on acceptance into the program. Applicants must be members of the Medieval Academy in good standing with at least one year of graduate school remaining and must demonstrate both the importance of the summer course to their program of study and their home institution’s inability to offer analogous coursework.
To apply please submit the online Medieval Academy application and upload a Statement of Purpose by the deadline set by the Medieval Academy/CARA Summer Scholarships Program. The required letter of recommendation should be sent as a signed PDF on letterhead via e-mail to the Executive Director at LFD@TheMedievalAcademy.org by their deadline. Applications will be judged by the Committee for Professional Development and the Chair of the CARA Committee. There will be between four and eight awards yearly, depending upon the number of worthy applicants and the cost of the summer programs.
