My research focuses primarily on the economic, social, and material histories of the later-medieval world, with an emphasis on the British Isles, c. 1200–1500:

My primary interests are in commerce (credit and finance, mercantile networks, the international movement of commodities); testamentary practice (wills and testaments, inventories, and probate); and material culture and manuscripts (patronage and provenance).
