Laura Moncion awarded 2025 Leonard Boyle Dissertation Prize for Medieval Studies

Congratulations to CMS Alumna, Dr. Laura Moncion, the recipient of this year's Leonard Boyle Dissertation Prize for Medieval Studies from the Canadian Society of Medievalists. Laura Moncion received her PhD in 2024 at CMS with a dissertation entitled "Closen leben das ist nut ein cleines ding: Women Recluses in Alsace, c.1200–1500", which was selected due to the outstanding quality of research, evidence of meticulous archival work, and momentous contributions to the study of women recluses.

Upon leaving CMS, Laura was appointed a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute for Ethics and the Common Good, University of Notre Dame, and is now embarking on a SSHRC postdoctoral fellowship at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. Congratulations, Dr. Moncion, on all your incredible accomplishments!
