University of Toronto undergraduates are eligible for the Centre's Summer Latin Program.*
The Latin courses emphasize primary texts in medieval Latin and are designed to help students prepare for the Centre's rigorous Level One and Level Two Latin Exams.
The summer Latin courses are non-credit, and the fees for the program are not included in the regular Arts & Science fees. However, undergraduates who have been accepted into the MA program can take the Summer Latin Program for free prior to their first semester of MA studies.
The Latin Committee agrees to mark as internal the examinations of upper-level undergraduate students in the Mediaeval Studies programme at St. Michael’s College, and to award passes through the regular examination procedure. The acceptance of such examinations for marking by the Latin Committee will occur only on the recommendation of the Coordinator of the undergraduate programme, and passing marks do not satisfy prerequisite requirements for enrollment in CMS courses or programmes.
