Martin Pickavé new Canada Research Chair in Medieval Philosophy

April 11, 2013 by Communications

Congratulations to Martin Pickavé, who has been awarded a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair effective 1 January 2013. Martin’s project will trace the roots of our concept of free will through a systematic comparative study of medieval debates about human and non-human agency. The research represents not only a contribution to the history of philosophy but feeds into controversies about free will in contemporary philosophy. Well done Martin!
