CMS and PIMS Alum Ronald John Zawilla graduated in 1985 with his dissertation, The Historiae corporis Christi Attributed to Thomas Aquinas: A Theological Study of their Biblical Sources, which includes research that continues to be cited in recent scholarly works. Ronald's published articles appear in The Modern Schoolman, Spirituality Today, Mediaeval Studies, Manuscripta, and he contributed several chapters to both The New Dictionary Of Catholic Spirituality and the Dictionary of the Middle Ages. He was editor of the Medieval Sermon Studies Newsletter, a former Dominican Friar, and Associate Professor at the Aquinas Institute of Theology. He became a teacher at the Illinois Institute of Art, his passion for design eventually leading him to Genesis Studio at Watra Church Goods Co. in Chicago, serving as a Liturgical Consultant and Designer.
Ron will be greatly missed by the medieval community.
